Procurement Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Manager to join our team at Surya International. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing vendor relationships, purchasing orders, and inventory levels.
Main Responsibilities:
- Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers, while maintaining strong relationships with existing vendors to ensure reliable supply.
- Purchase Order Management: Issue POs, track status, and follow up on delivery timelines to resolve any discrepancies or delays.
- Sourcing and Quotation Analysis: Assist in sourcing materials and services, collect and compare quotations, and negotiate terms with suppliers under supervision.
- Inventory Control: Coordinate with the inventory team to manage stock levels and ensure timely procurement to avoid stockouts or overstocking.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain procurement records, contracts, and supplier documentation, ensuring accurate data entry in procurement systems or ERP platforms.
- Compliance and Audit Preparation: Ensure procurement processes comply with internal policies and external regulations, assisting in preparing documentation for audits or internal reviews.
- Budget and Cost Control: Monitor expenditures, support cost-saving initiatives, and report on procurement spend to identify savings opportunities.
- Team Coordination and Communication: Coordinate with internal departments for material requirements, escalating issues as needed.
