We are seeking an experienced roof rail systems engineer with a strong background in automotive design and development. The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of experience working on roof rails for passenger vehicles, including hatchbacks and SUVs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop innovative roof rail systems for hatchback, SUV, and passenger vehicle programs.
  2. Evaluate feasibility considering structural integrity, safety, styling, and manufacturing constraints.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and optimize designs for cost and durability.
  4. Maintain packaging awareness and interface with adjacent systems (roof, body side, sealing, trim).
  5. Prepare and review detailed 3D/2D design documentation using CATIA V5.
  6. Apply learnings from prior vehicle program experiences to drive continuous improvement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in roof rail design and development for passenger vehicles.
  • Strong knowledge of CATIA V5 and other relevant design tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
