Job Description

The Product Strategist plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between product management and engineering teams, ensuring seamless execution of the product roadmap.

This position requires a hands-on approach, with a focus on delivering high-quality features on time. As the liaison between these two critical teams, you will be responsible for translating product strategy into actionable backlogs, empowering the development team to excel.

You will maintain close relationships with both teams, participating in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and prioritize user stories based on the product roadmap and business value.
  • Act as the voice of the customer within the sprint team, ensuring effective communication and alignment.
  • Clarify user stories and provide deeper understanding of business requirements to the development team.
  • Write clear, concise user stories with acceptance criteria and dependencies.
  • Review and accept completed work, ensuring it meets the definition of done and original requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar B2B SaaS environment.
  • Proven track record working directly with an Agile development team and managing a product backlog.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to translate complex product requirements into clear, actionable user stories.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and stakeholders.
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with the ability to unblock teams and keep projects moving forward.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like Jira, Asana, or Azure DevOps.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Marketing, Computer Science).
