Job Title

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Analyst to join our payroll operations team.


About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and distributing payroll checks, taxes, and employee benefits. They will also assess payroll systems for efficiency and maintain perk payment records, generating payroll expenditure reports, and carrying out routine tasks.


Responsibilities
  • Preliminary Review
  • Provide accurate and timely review and submission of payroll data to meet processing deadlines, adhering to all payroll processes and controls to ensure fully compliant payroll operations across the region.
  • Payroll Payments
  • Ensure timely completion of payroll payments, including relevant deductions for employment taxes, other statutory deductions, benefits, and other items and funding.
  • Reporting and Reconciliation
  • Produce monthly payroll-related reconciliations and support general ledger delivery to all finance partners. Assist the head of payroll in implementing the global payroll strategy for the region, including but not limited to data migration reconciliations, parallel payroll runs, and integration testing.
  • Candidate Experience
  • Provide a best-in-class employee experience for delivery of payroll. Own the resolution of payroll-related cases.
  • Stakeholder Relationships
  • Build stakeholder relationships across the organization, notably Tax, Finance, and Human Resources. Work closely with the payroll vendor to ensure delivery of all target SLA's and payroll deadlines.
  • Administrative Support
  • Coordinate the required administrative steps for payroll invoices and ensure timely approval and submission to finance for payment.

Requirements
  • Knowledge and Skills
  • Have knowledge of payroll in Australia and/or New Zealand is required.
  • Payroll Transformation
  • Have demonstrable experience of supporting payroll transformation projects. Previous use of Workday and associated payroll integrations.
  • Qualifications
  • Have relevant experience of 5-7 years.
  • Education
  • Have a bachelor's degree in business, finance/accounting, or related field. Deep experience of payroll operations and compliance requirements.
