Job Title: AS400 Developer

We are looking for a skilled professional to work on the IBM AS400 iSeries platform and develop applications using RPGLE programming.

  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in IBM AS400 iSeries platform and RPGLE programming.
  • Experience in Integrated Language Environment (ILE) is highly desirable.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, debugging and maintaining RPG/CL programs.
  • They should also be able to create Sub-procedures, Subroutines and Service Programs.
  • Knowledge of SEU, PDM, DFU and Spool files is essential.
  • iSeries Navigator and Integrated File System (IFS) skills are required.
  • Web Services, XML, HTML and JavaScript skills are an added advantage.
  • The candidate should be able to handle client requirements, design documents and conduct client walk-throughs.
  • Mentoring juniors in development and ensuring project delivery success is also expected.

Key Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with IBM AS400 iSeries platform is required.
  • Proficient in RPGLE programming and ILE is essential.
  • Excellent knowledge of SEU, PDM, DFU and Spool files is necessary.
  • Strong understanding of Web Services, XML, HTML and JavaScript is required.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills are highly desirable.
