Project Accounting and Capitalization Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring overall capex within approved limits and providing management reporting on project progress.

A highly skilled Project Accounting and Capitalization Manager is required to lead project cost control initiatives, ensure proper accounting of project costs, assets capitalization, and inventory management.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure proper accounting of element-wise and stream-wise project costs, common cost allocation, finalization of transfer pricing for inter-company transactions, and asset capitalization.
  • Partner with treasury and banking teams for ECA and debt financing at optimized costs.
  • Continuously monitor project inventory, partner with PMC's/sub-contractors, and perform inventory reconciliations.
  • Optimize state incentives, represent to the government, file documents and information with the government as per policy, and design systems in line with incentive policy requirements.
  • Identify and assess financial risks, develop strategies to mitigate and manage these risks effectively and efficiently, and ensure strict adherence to regulatory compliance.
  • Create standard policies, processes, and procedures that align with business objectives and monitor their adherence.
  • Mentor and develop respective teams to take larger responsibilities and efficiently perform their roles.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8-12 years of experience in project management, with a strong background in financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess financial risks.
