Job Description

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled professional to fill the role of Data Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting geospatial data to support informed decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

\
  • Data Collection and Management: Search, collect, process, and manage large datasets, including GIS data, satellite imagery, and other spatial data sources.
  • Validate and ensure the accuracy, quality, and completeness of spatial data.
  • ETL operations: Conduct ETL operations between GIS applications/database using Esri Desktop or Server.
  • GIS Analysis and Mapping: Conduct spatial analysis, map creation, and geospatial model development to aid various projects and initiatives.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through quality checks and resolution of data discrepancies using ArcGIS Data Reviewer.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including project managers, analysts, and external partners, to comprehend data requirements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience with image analysis techniques like band combinations, pixel depth, and image strip artifacts removal.
  • Knowledge of ESRI products - ArcGIS Enterprise, Image Analyst Extension, Data Reviewer Extension.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify, research, and resolve issues proactively and provide recommendations to business partners, peers, and various levels of management.
