The Role:

This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work effectively in live telecom settings. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in network device deployment in telecom environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy network devices in telecom environments.
  • Configure routers using CLI and automation scripts/tools.
  • Maintain IP addressing and subnetting, WAN technologies.
  • Manage NX-OS switches and Cisco firewall platforms.
  • Operate routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS) and Layer 2/3 network operations.
  • Install software images, generate configs, and automate provisioning.
  • Work comfortably in live telecom environments (data centers, central offices, cell sites).
  • Plan, execute, and roll back traffic migration procedures.
  • Licence management for Cisco or equivalent platforms.

Qualifications:

  • Valid CCNP certification (minimum); CCIE preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in router configuration using CLI and automation scripts/tools.
  • Strong command of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS) and Layer 2/3 network operations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with NX-OS switches and Cisco firewall platforms.
  • Experience with software image installation, config generation, and automation-based provisioning.
