Job Title: Manager - Community Finance and Livelihood Expert

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager - Community Finance and Livelihood Expert to join our team at MicroSave Consulting. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance to clients on community-based focused projects and other related assignments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance to clients on community-based focused projects and other related assignments.
  • Develop and submit proposals to generate business, particularly for the Practice Group the candidate is part of.
  • Represent MicroSave Consulting at conferences and other events.
  • Author and co-author thematic publications based on field experiences.
  • Engage in marketing activities and participate in digital media dialogues.
  • Conduct quality of delivery and feedback assessments with team members.
  • Assist and support the development of other staff members.
  • Share knowledge with staff and create opportunities for mentoring.
  • Take ownership of self-development by acquiring skills and knowledge that add value to the organization.
  • Lead or assist with the planning and implementation of medium to large technical assistance assignments.
  • Conduct assignment set-up and de-briefing meetings.
  • Build rapport with various contact points at the client organization.
  • Plan and execute assignments with utmost due diligence.
  • Oversee and support the process of report writing and data analysis.
  • Review training courses, research papers, and technical assistance provided to clients.
  • Contribute to the development of MicroSave Consulting's toolkits and other publications.

Requirements:

  • Good understanding of community finance and financial inclusion.
  • Ability to lead assignments and teams with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to develop client relationships and win business.
  • MBA or other relevant professional qualifications.
  • Experience of working with community-based institutions in a direct or consulting role.
  • Experience of designing and executing livelihoods and financial inclusion projects.
  • Experience on forward and backward linkages of various livelihood activities.
  • Excellent spoken and written English.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
