Salary:$144,000 - $170,000 per year, based on experience and location. Please note that salary may vary depending on your background and qualifications.

About the Job

We're seeking a skilled Data Analytics Strategist to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our analytics community, you will play a vital role in extracting meaningful insights from large volumes of data to inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leadership and customer groups to understand needs and recommend business intelligence solutions.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to define data elements and structure for analytical capabilities.
  • Design, implement, and support platforms providing ad-hoc access to large datasets for non-technical business users.
  • Interface with business customers, gathering requirements and delivering complete reporting solutions.
  • Owning the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc., to drive key business decisions.
  • Participate in strategic and tactical planning discussions.
  • Standardize data and report consumption across all customer groups.
  • Making recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve operational and quality metrics.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc., experience.
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
  • Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
  • Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab.
  • Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
  • Experience in data mining, ETL, etc., and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
