Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Teradata Developer to join our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Teradata-based solutions that support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize Teradata SQL scripts, procedures, and views.
  • Implement and maintain ETL processes using Teradata utilities (e.g., BTEQ, FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT).
  • Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Perform data modeling, schema design, and performance tuning.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across data warehouse systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data loads, queries, and performance.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Document technical specifications and maintain system documentation.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Teradata development.
  • Strong proficiency in Teradata SQL and utilities.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, architecture, and best practices.
  • Experience with ETL tools and data integration techniques.
  • Knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization in Teradata.
  • Familiarity with data modeling tools (e.g., Erwin, PowerDesigner).
  • Experience with Unix/Linux scripting is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Knowledge of BI tools like Tableau, Power BI, or MicroStrategy.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
