Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

">Job Description:

As a senior data engineer, you will be responsible for designing and building robust data pipelines that process and transform data from diverse sources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and build efficient data pipelines that ensure data quality, reliability, and availability across the pipeline lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and engineering leads to define technical strategy and drive innovation.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to maintain high standards and ensure delivery excellence.
  • Own smaller components of the data platform or pipelines and take end-to-end responsibility for their development and maintenance.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in data pipelines and implement solutions to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and technologies and contribute to knowledge sharing and skills development within the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in Big Data or data engineering roles.
  • Strong proficiency in JVM-based languages such as Java or Scala.
  • Experience working with distributed Big Data tools and processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Kafka, or Flink.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms including services such as S3, Glue, BigQuery, or EMR.
  • Ability to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
  • Good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
