**Job Title: SAP HANA Database Administrator**

 

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled professional to manage and maintain our SAP HANA database systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of SAP HANA Database architecture, excellent analytical thinking, and result-driven approach.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and ensuring high availability of systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Message processing, technical incident management, service/change request management, problem management, root cause analysis.
  • Installation, patching, upgrade activities.
  • Performance monitoring, tuning, backup, restore, recovery procedures.
  • High availability of systems, disaster recovery setup.
  • Technical expertise to optimize system operations and architecture.
  • Concept and tool development to prevent issues and improve efficiency.
  • Cross-functional team collaboration and global knowledge transfer.
  • Workshops and training sessions for customers and team members.
  • Juniors and trainees supervision to foster learning and growth.

Requirements:

The following skills and qualifications are required:

  • 3-9 years of experience in SAP HANA DBA.
  • Solid knowledge of SAP HANA Database architecture.
  • Basic understanding of Linux operating systems.
  • HANA backup and recovery concepts using traditional and Backint methods.
  • DB restarts and troubleshooting in MDC/Non-MDC environments.
  • End-to-end installation of HANA 2.0 MDC.
  • DB client upgrades, add-on installations, and related issue troubleshooting.
  • HANA version upgrades across support packs in HANA 2.0.
  • alert monitoring from HANA Studio and necessary actions.
  • HANA licenses application in OS/Studio environments.
  • Audit logs management and enabling logs for user activities.
  • Trace enabling/disabling for performance analysis.
  • System health checks and HANA user management.
  • Troubleshooting skills for backup-recovery, memory, CPU utilization, database performance tuning.
  • HANA parameter configuration changes expertise.
  • Backup recovery and point-in-time recovery for MDC and Non-MDC systems.
  • HANA outage handling (system downtime, hang, performance issues) meeting SLA commitments.
  • P1 and P2 incidents management and timely resolution as per KPI requirements.
  • Shift leadership experience is an advantage.
  • Willingness to work in rotational shifts including night shifts.
