About this role:

As a seasoned CICS systems programmer, you will be responsible for performing and managing system administration activities.

Key responsibilities include upgrading CICS versions, handling Transaction Server upgrades, and executing maintenance activities using SMP/E. You will also manage CICS RDO – define and manage CICS resources online/offline, create, configure, and sunset CICS regions as required.

Additionally, you will modify CICS configurations, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations.

Technical skills required for this position include strong knowledge of CICS Systems Programming, expertise in z/OS, JCL, REXX, VSAM, Endevor, CA7, ServiceNow, and z/OS Explorer.

A good understanding of CICS upgrades and maintenance via SMP/E is essential. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are also necessary.
