English Teacher Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced English teacher to join our academic team as a Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) for the subject of English.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Development: Design and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards, fostering student learning and academic growth.
  • Instruction: Teach English literature, language, and composition skills to students in grades 9-12, promoting effective communication and critical thinking.
  • Assessment: Evaluate and assess student performance through assignments, projects, and exams, providing constructive feedback to enhance student progress.
  • Classroom Management: Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation, engagement, and mutual respect.
  • Support and Guidance: Provide academic support and guidance to students, addressing their learning needs and promoting individual growth.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and contribute to school-wide initiatives, enhancing teaching practices and student outcomes.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated on teaching methodologies, educational technology, and literature trends, participating in professional development opportunities to stay current and effective.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and classroom activities, ensuring transparency and cooperation.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Master's degree in English or a related field, with a preference for B Ed.
  • Experience: Prior teaching experience in English at the secondary level is highly desirable, demonstrating a strong commitment to education and student success.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in educational technology, and a passion for teaching and learning.
  • Certifications: Valid teaching certification as per local regulations, ensuring compliance and accountability.
