Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced sales professional to join our team and contribute to our mission of alleviating pain, restoring health, and extending life. As a Medical Device Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for promoting our cutting-edge medical technologies to Peripheral Vascular Consultants/Specialists.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Exceeding sales revenue and market share targets for your specified regional territory by promoting endovenous products and therapies.
  • Practicing effective account management, KOL management, promoting therapies, maintaining product and technical competency, and providing market information on a timely basis.
  • Responsible for achieving Secondary AOP in terms of product units and revenue.
  • Ensuring coverage of all accounts on the basis of customer segmentation within territory in agreement with the manager to maintain optimum level of exposure and effective time management.
  • Maintaining and expanding existing business and developing new business opportunities.
  • Identifying customers/doctors and driving customer engagement activities, market development initiatives such as Project Engage, Go Direct, KAM & Ecom.
  • In the cathlab or operation theaters, assisting and providing support to doctors on implants.
  • Managing marketing expenses, spend on marketing programs for HCP.
  • Communicating marketing plans/intelligence/competitor activity promptly, including potential sales leads, and information regarding product price or account activity to appropriate company personnel.
  • Recognizing and understanding competitive products, features, strengths in relation to the company's products and providing the information in agreed format on weekly basis to manager.
  • Would be responsible for KOL Management in terms of scheduling activities & planning effective customer engagement programs like CMEs and RTMs as per BCS compliance and maintaining productive relationships with them.
  • Planning and executing training and technical programs for Key Hospitals.
  • Engaging non-prescribing customers, hospitals administrators, staffs to maintain productive relationship with them.
  • Acquiring and maintaining comprehensive clinical and technical product and therapy knowledge.
  • Acquiring knowledge about processes in the organization around marketing events request, product donation and discount request.
  • Responsible to participate around his/her Individual Development Plan in consultation with the manager.
  • Undertaking distributor reviews in terms of understanding stock availability, daily co-ordination with distributors and monitor distributor customer relationship.
  • Developing and maintaining accurate account and territory record.
  • Completing administrative reporting as assigned (for example: expense reports, account profiles and analysis, daily planners, competitive updates, etc.)
  • Increasing market penetration through gaining new customers and developing customer relationships in defined market segments and assigned territory.
  • Regularly visiting existing customers and maintaining network of key opinion leaders, through clinical trials, post sales training etc. to achieve the assigned AOP.
  • Providing market and competitor information to feed the targeting, pricing and product development processes.
  • Maintaining and serving existing distributors and looking for attractive new ones within commercial business.
  • Maximizing profitability of sales by managing consistency in supply and secondary sales.
  • Contributing to the enhancement of team through positive participation in training, sales meetings, exhibitions and other company functions.
  • Creating monthly, quarterly and annual sales strategies. Contributing to the development of the annual sales plan for assigned territory.
  • Providing accurate and timely reports and records, and constantly reviewing and updating database.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor in / Engineering / Science
  • MBA in Sales and Marketing preferred
  • Minimum 6-10 years sales experience in Concept Selling/ Medical Devices Selling is Mandatory
  • Experience of Distribution Management
  • Willing to travel extensively
Nice to Have

The following skills would be advantageous:

  • Strong Interpersonal skills, with focused People/Customer/Result orientation.
  • Experience in Vascular surgery or Interventional Radiology preferably in Peripheral Vascular devices or relevant experience with good communication skills and managing mid-level accounts.
  • Strong grasp on the market and understanding around the complexities, competition, customer preferences etc
  • Ability to prioritize and execute as per the needs of the business and the current set of challenges
  • Strong analytical skills (to understand local markets and customer needs) in order to develop region specific plans, strategies and tactics.
  • Strong leadership and vision, assertive, and can collaborate with various stakeholders within the organization
  • Ability to quickly revector and improvise the business model if the current model is not yielding desired results
