Data Engineering Strategist
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Data Engineer to lead our data development and analytics initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development, implementation, and optimization of relational and non-relational databases.
- Manage and mentor a team of database developers, data engineers, and BI professionals.
- Design and implement scalable data models, ETL pipelines, and enterprise-level reporting systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Administer database performance tuning, backup strategies, and implement security protocols.
- Define and enforce standards for data governance, data quality, and security.
- Implement and manage Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Translate complex business needs into technical reporting solutions, dashboards, and data visualizations.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in database development and data management.
- At least 3 years in a team leadership or managerial role, overseeing data or BI teams.
- Strong command of SQL, stored procedures, indexing strategies, and performance optimization techniques.
- Hands-on experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, Looker).
- Proficient in ETL tools and data integration platforms such as SSRS, SSIS, and Azure Data Lake.
- Experience designing and maintaining data warehouse solutions and dimensional modeling.
- Experience working with Azure cloud services for data management and analytics.
- Delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions aligned with business needs.
- High adoption and usability of dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions.
- Consistent performance tuning improvements across all data services.
- Effective data governance practices resulting in high data quality and reliability.
- Team performance and growth through effective leadership and mentoring.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
- Proven ability to plan, execute, and lead large-scale data initiatives.
- Effective leadership and mentoring capabilities for guiding cross-functional teams.
- Business acumen to understand and prioritize organizational needs through data.
