**Job Title:** SRE Elasticsearch AdministratorThe role of a Senior SRE Elasticsearch Administrator is to evaluate the performance of our Elasticsearch and Splunk clusters, identify potential issues, plan changes for high-load events, apply security fixes, test incremental upgrades, and extend and improve monitoring and alert infrastructure.
  • Evaluate and improve the performance of Elasticsearch and Splunk clusters.
  • Plan and implement changes for high-load events.

  • Extend and improve monitoring and alert infrastructure.
**Key Responsibilities Include Maintaining Other Parts of the Data Pipeline**
  • Maintain the data pipeline, including serverless or server-based systems.
  • Optimize cost-vs-performance position by testing new hosts or configurations.
  • Automate processes using declarative tools like Puppet and scripting mechanisms.
**Expertise Required:
  • Experience with administration and management of Elasticsearch clusters.
  • Strong knowledge in provisioning and configuration management tools like Puppet, Ansible, Rundeck, etc.
  • Experience with building automations and infrastructure as code using Terraform, Packer, or CloudFormation templates.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Splunk, Prometheus, PagerDuty, etc.
  • Ability to learn and troubleshoot complex issues.
