Holistic Literacy Leader

The Program Lead - Reading and Literature is responsible for driving excellence in literacy instruction, fostering a deep appreciation for reading and critical analysis of texts across all relevant age groups or academic levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drive the school reading programs independently, ensuring alignment with curriculum goals and objectives.
  2. Collaborate with teachers across the school to develop and implement effective literacy strategies.
  3. Engage students actively in reading activities, promoting a love for literature and learning.
  4. Develop and maintain parent and community initiatives, fostering partnerships that support student growth.
  5. Manage documentation and communication systems effectively, ensuring seamless data exchange between stakeholders.
  6. Implement initiatives taken under the school reading program, monitoring progress and evaluating effectiveness in real-time.
  7. Generate reports and analyze data to inform instructional decisions, drive improvement, and enhance student outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Education: BA English (Desirable - Post graduation in language and literature)
  • Experience: 2-5 years of progressive experience in teaching reading and literature at K-12
