Senior Software Engineer Role Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop effective and scalable code in Ruby, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Create robust back-end components for web applications, leveraging your expertise in Ruby on Rails/Padrino.
  • Test applications thoroughly for performance, responsiveness, and security, utilizing tools like Rspec and Capybara.
  • Collaborate with junior developers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure successful code reviews and debugging.
  • Design and implement data storage and data processing solutions, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Contribute to the development of automated test scripts, enhancing our testing capabilities.
  • Participate in on-call production support, embodying a 'you build it, you run it' mindset.
  • Foster strong relationships with team members across different layers of infrastructure, promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience as a software engineer, with a proven track record in Ruby Development.
  • Excellent understanding of object-oriented programming principles and their application in real-world scenarios.
  • Deep expertise in Ruby on Rails, with hands-on experience in popular libraries and frameworks.
  • In-depth knowledge of agile software development methodologies and their implementation in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and deliver effective solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively.
  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a relevant field, along with a passion for continuous learning.
