Employment Type : Contractual (6 months, extendable)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Ruby on Rails Developer with strong expertise in building, optimizing, and maintaining scalable applications. The ideal candidate should have deep technical proficiency in Ruby on Rails, React, and BackboneJS, with a proven track record of delivering end-to-end solutions. This is an individual contributor role requiring hands-on coding expertise rather than team leadership or delegation.

Key Responsibilities (KRAs) :

- Develop, enhance, and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails.

- Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure application features.

- Integrate React and BackboneJS components for dynamic front-end development.

- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

- Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance.

- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and application architecture.

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.

- Manage deployments and support production environments when required.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- 5 to 7 years of overall experience in software development.

- Minimum 3 years of strong hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails.

- Solid experience in React and BackboneJS for front-end development.

- Strong understanding of MVC frameworks, RESTful APIs, and web services.

- Proficiency in relational databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL.

- Knowledge of version control systems like Git.

- Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.
