Job Title: Senior Associate

The primary role of a Tax Professional is to review and prepare moderate to complex tax returns. A key responsibility is fostering a collaborative relationship with colleagues.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster a good understanding of basic and moderate tax concepts on individual tax returns (1040), and continuously enhance knowledge through client work and staying up-to-date with tax developments.
  • Ensure exceptional quality and timely delivery of tasks assigned to team members.
  • Train and assist team members with their questions on a day-to-day basis.
  • Assist the team in tax research to develop a deep understanding of tax theory and principles and apply them appropriately on individual tax returns to fulfill client requirements.
  • Enhance teamwork and have the ability to communicate with teams in India and the US.
  • Provide assistance to managers on projects, as requested.
  • Demonstrate independent judgment and decision-making capabilities when preparing tax returns.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and coaching abilities.
  • Worked on US individual tax returns with complex situations and worked on High-Net-worth Individuals (HNIs).
  • Good knowledge of moderate and complex tax concepts, including forms like 8621, 5471, 1116, 2555, 6252, and Passthrough reporting.
  • Able to manage a team and the team's workflow.

Qualification:

Minimum of 3-6 years of experience in US Individual taxation (1040).
