Oncology Prior Authorisation Specialist

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Oncology Prior Authorisation Specialist to fill a critical role in our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process electronic prior authorisations for oncology medications through CoverMyMeds.
  • Review clinical documentation for completeness and accuracy before payer submission.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and specialty pharmacies to resolve prior authorisation and reimbursement issues.
  • Monitor and track prior authorisation requests, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
  • Provide education on CoverMyMeds processes and payer requirements to prescribers' offices and staff.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare, pharmacy, life sciences, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience using CoverMyMeds, specifically in prior authorisation processing.
  • Strong background in oncology medication access, reimbursement, or patient services.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with oncology patient support programmes.
  • Knowledge of the insurance verification, appeals, and reimbursement landscape.
