Electrical Design Engineer

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and specifying electrical systems and controls for HVAC systems.

  • Design and specify electrical systems and controls to meet project requirements.
  • Develop schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts to ensure compliance with national and local codes.
  • Perform load calculations, short circuit analysis, and power distribution design to optimize system efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integrated system designs.
  • Support the commissioning and troubleshooting of HVAC electrical systems.
  • Prepare technical documentation and reports to facilitate effective communication.
  • Assist in cost estimation and project scheduling to ensure timely completion.
  • Maintain compliance with safety standards and energy regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as PE or LEED AP are desirable.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, including design principles, materials, and testing methods.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze complex electrical systems.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, such as Autodesk or SolidWorks.
