Consultant Pathologist Role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Pathologist to lead our laboratory diagnostic services. The ideal candidate will have both clinical and operational expertise, ensuring the accuracy of lab results while managing staff and resources effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnostic Analysis: Perform and interpret tests in histopathology, cytology, hematology, clinical pathology, and biochemistry.
  • Reporting: Issue timely and accurate reports for biopsy, FNAC, PAP smears, and other diagnostic samples.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and guide laboratory technicians, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain and monitor internal and external quality assurance programs.
  • Clinical Collaboration: Collaborate with clinicians and specialists for case discussions and diagnostic planning.
Requirements:
  • Education: MBBS + MD/DNB in Pathology.
  • Registration: Registered with MCI or State Medical Council.
  • Skills: Proficient in microscopy, grossing, staining techniques, and diagnostic decision-making.
  • Experience: Experience in working with laboratory information systems (LIS).
  • Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail and quality control, good interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Subspecialty Experience: Subspecialty experience in Hematopathology, Histopathology, or Molecular Pathology.
  • Laboratory Experience: Experience working in NABL/NABH-accredited labs.
  • Audit Participation: Participation in audits, lab accreditation, or research publications is a plus.
