Backend Engineering Lead

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Backend Engineering Lead to drive the technical direction of our backend systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading engineering initiatives, mentoring team members, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure backend solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Java, Spring Boot, API design, and microservices. Additionally, they should possess excellent leadership and mentoring capabilities, as well as strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the design and development of backend systems using Java and Spring Boot
  • Architect and implement scalable microservices and robust API designs
  • Guide the team in adopting best practices in backend development and system architecture
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align technical strategy with business objectives
  • Drive initiatives in CI/CD, performance optimization, and system reliability

You will also mentor engineers and lead code reviews to uphold engineering excellence. If you have experience with Docker, AWS, SQL/NoSQL, DDD (Domain-Driven Design), CI/CD, and AI/ML integration, that's a plus.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 6+ years of experience in backend development
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, API design, and microservices
