  • Project Leadership: Lead large-scale backend projects, focusing on performance improvements and migrations.
  • Video Processing: Work with tools like FFmpeg, GStreamer to manage codecs (H.264, H.265, VP9, AV1) and formats (MP4, WebM, HLS, DASH).
  • Design Scalable Solutions: Design scalable backend solutions for video processing features including encoding, transcoding, and adaptive streaming.
  • Performance Optimization: Enhance video storage, retrieval, and streaming performance through CDNs, caching, and adaptive bitrate streaming.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements, design solutions, and deliver impactful features.
  • Technical Decision Making: Make technical decisions balancing immediate needs with long-term scalability and maintainability.
  • Mentorship: Mentor junior engineers by providing code reviews, design feedback, and technical guidance.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement long-term solutions.
