Cloud Architect Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and proposing cloud architecture using open-source cloud orchestrators, virtualization, and automation technology in complex multi-tenant environments.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in solutions engineering and 7+ years of experience in presales roles specifically in the cloud and virtualization domain.

  • Design and propose cloud architecture using open-source cloud orchestrators, virtualization, and automation technology.
  • Engage with customers and prospects to demonstrate solutions and communicate key differentiators.
  • Assist customers with initial product evaluations and testing to set the stage for successful implementation.
  • Connect the dots between technical requirements and business requirements to ensure project success.
  • Respond to RFIs or RFPs, communicating product differentiators.
  • Prepare and deliver differentiated solution presentations or technical proposals.
  • Manage and/or deliver technical validation activities, including Proof Of Concepts.
  • Build relationships with partners to find and realize opportunities.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience with implementing cloud solutions in an enterprise environment.
  • Thorough understanding of cloud technologies and concepts, working knowledge of leading private cloud platforms.
  • Thorough understanding of virtualization concepts and container technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of network and application security, infrastructure hardening, and web server/database security.
  • Excellent written communication skills, experience preparing technical proposals, RFP responses, and BoQs.
  • Highly effective presentation skills and composure in front of technical and business customers/prospects.
  • Ability to work within a dynamic and fast-paced international environment.
  • Proven experience managing Proof Of Concept activities in the cloud domain.

Education and Experience:

  • Relevant bachelor's degree.
  • 7+ years of experience in solutions engineering and presales roles.
