Visual Design Specialist

About the Opportunity:

BITSDES is a leading institution of learning, offering a comprehensive curriculum in design. We are seeking a skilled Visual Design Specialist to join our marketing team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing visual concepts, creating digital and print graphics, and editing video content for social media, websites, and marketing campaigns. The role reports directly to the Head of Marketing and works closely with members of the marketing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop creative concepts and designs for digital and print media, including social media, websites, brochures, etc., as per the brief.
  • Edit video content for social media, YouTube, website, and marketing campaigns.
  • Conduct on-campus video and photo shoots using mobile phone or institution equipment.
  • Communicate with vendors to ensure quality of the final product.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively with stakeholders.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Formal education in visual/graphic design for a minimum of 5 years.
  • At least three years of experience in graphic design and video editing.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro.
  • Basic photography and videography skills, understanding DSLR/mirrorless camera functions, and able to shoot in manual mode.
  • Online portfolio – on Behance, Dribbble, or other website.
  • Willingness to travel to the campus at Kalyan, District Thane. This is an on-site position.

Nature of Engagement:

On contract for one year, extendable thereafter.
