**Role:** MERN Stack Developer - Supply Chain Expert at Optimal Virtual Employee

We are seeking a skilled MERN Stack Developer to join our team at Optimal Virtual Employee. As a key member of our logistics and supply chain management platform, you will play a vital role in designing, developing, and maintaining web and app applications that directly impact the efficiency of First Mile and Last Mile deliveries.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Develop and maintain web applications using React.js and Node.js
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features related to supply chain operations
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, ensuring integration with supply chain processes like Supplier Portal, Purchase Order Booking, and cargo uploading
  • Optimize applications for performance, quality, and responsiveness, ensuring seamless end-to-end shipment delivery tracking and logistics management
  • Identify and develop digital transformations of processes to correct bottlenecks, fix bugs, and ensure adherence to Incoterms and logistics frameworks

**Requirements and Skills:**

  • Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
  • In-depth knowledge of React.js and its core principles, with experience in popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
  • Knowledge of Node.js and frameworks available for it (such as Express, StrongLoop, etc.)
  • Understanding of RESTful APIs and their applications in supply chain integrations
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools, as well as common front-end development tools like Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.

**Nice to Have:**

  • Experience with databases (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL), especially in handling logistics and supply chain data
  • Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), with experience in scaling applications for logistics and deliveries
  • Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes
  • Understanding of microservices architecture, particularly in supply chain ecosystems
