HVAC Design Engineers are sought after for the design and optimization of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of MEP coordination, energy efficiency, and HVAC system optimization.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Designing HVAC systems including heating, cooling, ventilation, and air distribution systems.
  • Performing heat load calculations, cooling load calculations, and airflow analysis using software like HAP, Trace 700, or Carrier E-20.
  • Selecting and sizing HVAC equipment (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, heat exchangers, pumps, etc.) based on project requirements.
  • Designing ductwork, piping layouts, and control systems using AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Navisworks.
  • Ensuring designs comply with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and local building codes.
  • Performing energy efficiency analysis and optimizing HVAC systems for cost and sustainability.
  • Coordinating with MEP engineers, architects, and contractors for system integration.
  • Preparing technical reports, specifications, and design documentation for project approvals.
  • Assisting in tendering, cost estimation, and bid evaluations for HVAC systems.
  • Supporting project execution by providing technical guidance during installation and commissioning.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC design and engineering.
  • Proficiency in HVAC design software (HAP, Trace 700, Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Carrier E-20).
  • Strong knowledge of duct and pipe sizing, psychrometrics, and refrigeration cycles.
  • Familiarity with ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and other HVAC standards.
  • Experience in energy modeling and sustainable HVAC system design.
  • Ability to troubleshoot HVAC system performance issues.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and teamwork skills.

  2. A proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  3. An excellent communication style that helps clients understand complex technical concepts.
