Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Clerk to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day bookkeeping, preparing and maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with tax-related filings.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Australian bookkeeping, accounting standards, and taxation rules, as well as excellent English communication skills. They will work closely with our leadership team to ensure our financial records are accurate, up to date, and compliant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with Australian accounting standards.
  • Assist with BAS, GST, and other tax-related filings.
  • Process payroll and superannuation contributions (if required).
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Work with accountants to prepare financial reports and ensure compliance.
  • Manage invoicing, receipts, and expense tracking.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of bookkeeping/accounting experience (Australian clients or companies preferred).
  • Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, or MYOB.
  • Knowledge: Solid understanding of BAS, GST, superannuation, and other Australian compliance requirements.
  • Communication: Fluent English (written and verbal). Clear, professional, and confident communicator.
  • Work Style: Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with Australian businesses.
  • Certification in bookkeeping or accounting.
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills.
