Plant Commercial Officer Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled financial professional to fill this role. The ideal candidate will have strong background in accounting, with experience in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Main Responsibilities:

• Analyze account ledgers and process/review period-end journals.
• Ensure Management Information System (MIS) reporting at month-end, covering various activities.
• Implement accounting policies and monitor accounting practices and compliance with GAAP.
• Assist in preparation of financial statements and statutory audit/tax audit.
• Handle compliances of indirect taxes (Goods and Services Tax (GST), Customs, Local Levies) - filing returns, maintaining records, availing/utilizing input credits, audits/assessments, appeals, etc.
• Maintain internal control systems as well as cost control measures as per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
• Supervise billing to customers, accounting of cash and inventory transactions commercial matters of channel partners like depots, etc.
• Handle disbursements and provide financial concurrence for procurement of goods/services.
• Coordinate with customers/vendors for reconciliation purposes.
• Effectively negotiate with vendors resulting in reduction of cost over previous purchases.
• Monitor customer receivables on a regular basis.
• Regular visits to attached depots, verification of stocks, and security thereof in line with the policy.
• Support the sales team on various business activities, including feasibility studies, economic evaluation, negotiations, etc.

Requirements:

• Chartered Accountant (minimum) from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) with consistently good academic record.
• At least 02 years of experience in a manufacturing industry operating on SAP Platform.
