Senior Accountant: Plant Commercial

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing commercial operations across various locations. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join us as a Commercial Operations Specialist.

About the Role:
  • Analyzing account ledgers and processing/reviewing of various period-end journals.
  • Ensuring MIS reporting at month-end covering various activities.
  • Implementing accounting policies, monitoring accounting practices, and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Assisting in preparation of financial statements and statutory audit/tax audit.
  • Handling compliances of indirect taxes (Goods and Services Tax (GST), Customs, Local Levies) - Filing returns, maintaining records, availing/utilizing input credits, audits/assessments, appeals, etc.
  • Maintaining internal control systems as well as cost control measures as per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
  • Supervising billing to customers, accounting of cash and inventory transactions, Commercial matters of Channel partners like depots, etc.
  • Handling disbursements and providing financial concurrence for procurement of Goods/Services.
  • Coordination with Customers/Vendors for reconciliation purposes.
  • Effective negotiations with Vendors resulting in reduction of cost over previous purchases.
  • Monitoring of Customer Receivables on a regular basis.
  • Regular visits to attached Depots, verification of Stocks and security thereof in line with the Policy.
  • Assisting the Sales Team on various business activities including feasibility studies, economic evaluation, negotiations, etc.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and systems.
