Job Description

The role of Senior Manual Tester is to plan, design, and execute test cases to ensure software, platforms, and systems meet performance and reliability standards. Working closely with development, product, and operations teams, the role involves identifying defects, tracking issues, and ensuring timely resolution.

  • Design, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Conduct functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Identify, document, and track software defects with clear reporting.
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to validate bug fixes and enhancements.

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid background in testing enterprise applications. Experience in creating test plans, executing functional and regression testing, and documenting outcomes is required.

Key Responsibilities

The Senior Manual Tester will be responsible for:

  • Mentoring junior testers and supporting the QA team in achieving best practices.
  • Preparing and maintaining testing documentation and reports for stakeholders.
  • Ensuring test coverage aligns with business and technical requirements.
Requirements

To succeed as a Senior Manual Tester, you should have:

  • Strong knowledge of manual testing methodologies and defect management tools.
  • Proficiency in writing test cases, bug reports, and test documentation.
  • Familiarity with Jira, TestRail, or similar test management tools.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and relevant certification (e.g., ISTQB) is preferred.

The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of hands-on experience in manual testing, preferably in telecom or enterprise applications.
