Aircraft Structural Integrity Specialist

Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Structural Integrity Specialist to join our team.
Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing stress analysis of metallic and composite aircraft structures. This includes:

  • Performing stress analysis using classical methods (ISAMI, GFEM, DFEM) and extracting loads, stresses, material data, geometry details, and fastener specifications from part and assembly drawings.
  • Applying appropriate static design values from standard references.
  • Creating and refining Finite Element Models (FEMs) using geometric data.
  • Conducting sizing of primary and secondary structures to meet static requirements.
  • Extracting fastener loads and performing detailed joint analysis.
  • CALCULATING Reserve Factors (RF) for various failure modes, including:
  • Strength
  • Buckling (Column & Panel)
  • Shear panel failure
  • Identifying and implementing low RF mitigations using classical or numerical methods.
  • Preparing stress certification dossiers, including ACD4 and SSR reports.
  • Collaborating with design, loads, and certification teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform stress analysis and extraction of loads, stresses, and material data.
  • Apply static design values and create refined FEMs.
  • Conduct structural sizing and detailed joint analysis.
  • Calculate Reserve Factors and implement mitigations.
  • Prepare stress certification dossiers and collaborate with teams.
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of experience in structural integrity engineering.
  • Strong understanding of classical and numerical methods for stress analysis.
  • Ability to extract loads, stresses, and material data from drawings.
  • Proficiency in creating and refining FEMs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
