Job Role:

A performance tester role involves designing, developing and executing performance test scripts using JMeter to ensure the system meets the required performance standards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop performance test scripts to simulate real-world user loads and identify bottlenecks in the system.
  • Analyze test results to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with development, QA and business teams to define performance test requirements and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Document test scenarios, test data and results to facilitate knowledge sharing and review.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to project discussions to ensure effective teamwork and communication.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with JMeter.
  • Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies, including load testing, stress testing and endurance testing.
  • Good knowledge of analyzing performance test results and identifying root causes.
  • Educational Qualification: B.E./B.Tech (any stream) OR MCA OR M.Sc. (IT).
  • Must have passed or be willing to clear ISTQB Foundation Level (or equivalent) within 3 months of joining.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and communication skills.
