Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Operations Leader to drive the procurement of coal logistics services and other ancillary services with high reliability and efficiency, achieving optimum cost optimization.

About the Role:

  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving strategic procurement of coal logistics services and other ancillary services to achieve high reliability and efficiency while optimizing costs.
  • They will ensure timely availability of coal by streamlining coal logistics procurement activities in line with planned generation, completing 100% order placement within agreed timelines.
  • Additionally, the Operations Leader will embed ESG and risk-related processes in the organization, identifying mitigation measures against strategic, operational, and other risks, including business continuity processes.
  • They will conduct continuous market studies to identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality improvement, and better risk mitigation.
  • The successful candidate will also identify, onboard, and develop new service providers for coal logistics and ancillary services, formulate and deploy long-term strategies, and monitor domestic coal sourcing programs.
  • Furthermore, they will analyze vendor performance and initiate corrective actions as necessary in the vendor selection process, support the Fuel Management team in preparing coal sourcing plans on a need basis, promote innovation to improve systems and processes reliability, and ensure compliance with Group-level SOPs, guidelines, and governance requirements.
  • Last but not least, they will improve and implement policies and procedures.
