Key Member, Legal Department

The legal professional in this role is responsible for providing innovative legal and compliance solutions to the business. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of corporate compliance programs and extensive experience in managing global investigations, policy development, and employee feedback mechanisms.

This key member of the legal team will work closely with highly skilled colleagues to drive corporate compliance operational objectives forward. They will be expected to derive actionable insights from data analysis and develop creative solutions to complex business challenges.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement effective corporate compliance programs that drive business outcomes.
  2. Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies using analytics and automation tools.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive compliance and integrity initiatives forward.
  4. Provide expert counsel on public policy and regulatory matters to internal stakeholders.
  5. Analyze and interpret new regulations and laws, advising executive management on necessary actions.
  6. Drive policy administration and training programs that enhance whistleblower systems and employee feedback mechanisms.
  7. Effectively handle complaints and investigations, ensuring timely and comprehensive remediation.
  8. Support company positions by developing responsive defenses to administrative proceedings.

Qualifications:

  • JD or equivalent law degree with relevant experience as a compliance counsel.
  • Additional qualifications such as CA/CFA are highly valued.

Required Skills:

  1. Proven track record in report development, policy creation, and procedure implementation in a multinational environment.
  2. Expertise in technology-driven program implementation and data analysis.
  3. Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  4. Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
