Radiology Medical Coding Specialist

Accurate and efficient medical coding is essential for successful healthcare operations. We are seeking a detail-oriented Radiology Medical Coding Specialist to accurately assign CPT, ICD-10-CM, Modifiers, and HCPCS codes for diagnostic and therapeutic radiology procedures.

About the Role:
  • Review and analyze radiology reports to ensure accurate diagnosis and procedure codes are assigned.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations, payer-specific requirements, and internal quality standards by staying up-to-date on ACR, CMS, and payer guidelines.
  • Develop expertise in coding various radiology modalities, including X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiation oncology.

We require a skilled professional with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to contribute to our team.

Key Requirements:
  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in radiology coding, preferably in an inpatient setting.
  • Familiarity with MIPS Coding is mandatory.
  • In-depth knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II codes is required.
  • Familiarity with payer-specific rules and LCD/NCD policies is beneficial.
