Middleware Expert

The Middleware Administrator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our middleware applications. This position requires an individual who possesses excellent problem-solving skills, is able to work independently, and has a strong understanding of middleware technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Middleware Tasks: Patching, hot fixes, SP, SSL administration, log file rotation, and other related activities are performed by the ideal candidate for this role.
  • Task List Application Restart: The candidate will schedule and execute restarts for middleware applications as needed.
  • Log Purging Activity: Regularly purging log files ensures optimal performance and minimizes storage requirements.
  • Manage & Communication with OEM: Collaborating with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to resolve issues and implement patches is crucial for success in this role.
  • Application Monitoring: Tools are used to monitor application performance and identify potential issues.
  • VA Open Points: Identifying and addressing open points related to middleware applications based on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) provided by the SOC team.
  • Middleware Application Security/Bug Patching: Applying security patches and bug fixes ensures the integrity and stability of middleware applications.
  • Resource Monitoring (Infra): Using tools to monitor resource utilization and identify potential bottlenecks is essential for optimizing system performance.
  • DR Activity: Participating in Disaster Recovery (DR) activities ensures business continuity.
  • Application Management on DR: Managing middleware applications during disaster recovery scenarios.
  • Middleware Security Patches: Applying security patches to middleware applications.
  • Middleware Release Updates: Coordinating and implementing middleware releases ensures seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Middleware Upgrades: Planning and executing middleware upgrades based on SOPs provided by OEMs and application teams.
  • Installation and Configuration of Middleware Products: Installing and configuring middleware products meets business requirements.
  • Deployments of Middleware and Application Management: Coordinating and managing deployments of middleware and applications.
  • Management of Application Downtimes: Minimizing downtime for applications and ensuring prompt resolution of issues.
  • Performance and Health Check of Middleware Services: Regularly monitoring middleware service performance identifies areas for improvement.
  • Backups of Middleware and Application Components: Ensuring regular backups of middleware and application components prevents data loss.
  • Server Certificate Management: Managing server certificates ensures secure communication between servers and clients.
  • Non-Prod Refreshes: Performing regular refreshes of non-production environments maintains accuracy and relevance.
