We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our backend engineering efforts. As a seasoned Manager of Engineering, you will be responsible for driving the development and maintenance of our highly distributed, scalable, and high-performing systems.

">Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of skilled software engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure the successful delivery of software products.
  • System Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy scalable systems using cutting-edge technologies such as Scala, Java, Kafka, and Microservices frameworks.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve system architecture and implementation.

About You:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in backend big data technologies, with a strong background in Spark, Scala, Kafka, SQL, EMR, S3, Airflow, Hive, and Java.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of success as a manager or team lead, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Agile and DevOps: Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments, with a good understanding of SDLC and CI/CD pipeline best practices.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • AWS Certification: Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, data warehousing concepts, and distributed systems principles.
  • Cloud Native Applications: Experience with Cloud Native Applications, preferably in AWS.
  • Containerization: Familiarity with Kubernetes or Docker Swarm.
  • Continuous Deployment: Knowledge of continuous deployment tools like GitLab pipelines, Terraform, and Ansible.
