Technical Architecture Leader

Join our search for a visionary leader to spearhead the modernization of our Loan Origination System (LOS) platform.

  • Our ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise in high-throughput backend systems, with a strong focus on Java and architecture design.

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to lead our technical teams through the transformation of our existing monolithic application into microservices or modular services. This is an exciting opportunity to drive significant improvements in scalability, performance, and delivery speed.

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting end-to-end technical reviews, leading architecture decisions, and guiding engineering execution to deliver new features faster.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Drive architecture transformation and guide engineering execution to ensure scalable deployment and support for Gen AI/LLM-based capabilities.
  2. Conduct thorough technical reviews of the existing platform, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  3. Lead the effort to break monolithic microservices to modular or microservices-based design.
  4. Architect high-performance systems to support concurrent users, complex workflows, and scalable deployment.
  5. Optimize PostgreSQL performance, indexing, and schema design for real-time financial data processing.
  6. Enable rapid delivery through CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and robust DevOps practices.
  7. Collaborate with Product, QA, and Design teams to prioritize and launch high-impact features.
  8. Integrate Gen AI and LLM technologies into core workflows.
  9. Own reliability, observability, and uptime ensuring system stability across all client environments.

Required Skills:

  • Strong hands-on expertise in Java and architecture design for high-throughput backend systems.
  • Experience refactoring monolithic applications into microservices or modular services.
  • Deep experience with PostgreSQL performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
  • Strong command of ReactJS, with emphasis on front-end performance and component-based architecture.
  • Proven ability to lead architecture decisions in AWS-based environments.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD, Docker, infrastructure-as-code, and deployment automation.
  • Experience integrating GenAI/LLMs or working with AI infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated success in leading engineering teams through modernization efforts.
  • Excellent debugging, profiling, and system performance tuning capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience building or scaling commercial lending or financial SaaS platforms.
  • Familiarity with financial spreading, rent roll analysis, DSCR, NOI, Cap Rate calculations.
  • Understanding of event-driven architecture and tools like Kafka, RabbitMQ.
  • Experience with observability tools.
