We are seeking a Research Chemist to play a crucial role in our product innovation engine. As a key member of the R&D team, you will be responsible for conducting lab-scale experiments and optimizing chemical processes to support the scale-up of new specialty molecules.
- You will work closely with R&D scientists to design and execute synthesis and process development experiments.
- Prepare reagents, carry out reactions, and monitor processes using advanced analytical tools such as TLC, HPLC, GC, NMR, and others.
- Maintain detailed records of experimental procedures and results in lab notebooks and data sheets.
- Support the transfer of processes from lab to pilot/manufacturing scale, ensuring seamless execution and efficient production.
- You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of chemistries including esters, surfactants, polymer intermediates, and fine chemicals.
- Assist in the development of analytical methods, sample submissions, and customer evaluations.
- Maintain a safe and organized laboratory environment, adhering to strict protocols and inventory management.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Organic Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, or Chemical Sciences.
- 1–3 years of hands-on experience in a chemical or specialty chemical R&D setup.
- Familiarity with synthesis, reaction monitoring, and basic analytical techniques.
- A solid understanding of scale-up challenges and process parameters.
- Excellent documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills.
