Highly Skilled Software Developer Position Available

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team in Pune, India. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing software applications using Scala and Java.
You will implement automated testing of new and existing components in an Agile environment, promote development standards, code reviews, mentoring, knowledge sharing, and production support.
Liaising with Business Analysts to ensure requirements are correctly interpreted and implemented is also part of the job. You will participate in regular planning and status meetings and input into the development process.
Developing Hive QL UDFs for analysing semi-structured datasets is another key responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop software applications using Scala and Java
- Implement automated testing of new and existing components in an Agile environment
- Promote development standards, code reviews, mentoring, knowledge sharing, and production support
- Liaise with Business Analysts to ensure requirements are correctly interpreted and implemented
- Participate in regular planning and status meetings and input into the development process
- Develop Hive QL UDFs for analysing semi-structured datasets
Requirements:
- Scala development and design using Scala 2.10 or Java development and design using Java 1.8
- Experience with most of the following technologies: Apache Hadoop, Scala, Apache Spark, Spark streaming, YARN, Kafka, Hive, Python, ETL frameworks, Map Reduce, SQL, RESTful services
- Sound knowledge of working on Unix/Linux Platform and experience building data pipelines using Hadoop components
- Hands-on experience with industry standard version control tools like Git and GitHub, automated deployment tools like Ansible and Jenkins
- Understanding of big data modelling techniques using relational and non-relational techniques
