Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Apigee infrastructure architect to join our team. As an Apigee infrastructure architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing API infrastructure using the Apigee platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. API Architecture Design: Design scalable, reliable, and high-performance API architectures using the Apigee platform to meet business needs and technical requirements.
  2. Infrastructure Development: Lead the development and implementation of API infrastructure leveraging Apigee Edge platform, ensuring adherence to best practices, standards, and security protocols.
  3. Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate APIs with various backend systems, databases, and third-party services.
  4. Performance Optimization: Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations to enhance API performance, reliability, and scalability.
  5. Security: Ensure the security of APIs by implementing robust authentication, authorization, and encryption mechanisms, adhering to industry standards and compliance requirements.
  6. Monitoring and Analytics: Set up monitoring and analytics solutions to track API usage, performance metrics, and health status, and utilize insights to drive continuous improvement.
  7. Documentation: Create comprehensive documentation including API specifications, architecture diagrams, and deployment guides for internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as an Apigee architect or similar role, with a strong background in API design and development.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Apigee Edge platform, including API proxy configuration, policies, and analytics.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Experience with API security standards and protocols (OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and drive resolution.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
