Job Title: Mainframe DB2 Administrator

Key Responsibilities:

  • DB2 systems and tools knowledge, including Z/OS, RACF, TSO, and SMS.
  • Familiarity with various DB2 utilities, such as IDCAMS, COPY, RECOVER, CHECK DATA, REORG, RUNSTATS, REBUILD, LOAD/UNLOAD, DSNJU003, and DSJU004.
  • Experience with DB2 tools, including DB2 Admin Tool, Log Analysis Tool, Object Comparison Tool, Query Monitor Tool, Automation Tool HPU, and IBM OMEGAMON XE for DB2 Performance Expert on z OS.
  • Ability to understand, write, tune, and troubleshoot DB2 SQL, application environments, and stored procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of DB2 Subsystem Setup in Sysplex distributor DDF, RRSAF, Data Sharing Group concepts, and Cross Coupling Facility.
  • Power designer tool proficiency for designing.
