Animal Health Formulations Specialist

We are a young pet nutraceuticals and health supplements company looking for an experienced chemist to set up our in-house manufacturing process.
As a hands-on all-rounder chemist with experience in veterinary or animal health formulations, you will design and optimize formulations for dogs and cats syrups, tonics, and nutraceutical supplements.
Main Responsibilities- Formulation Development: Design and optimize formulations for dogs and cats syrups, tonics, and nutraceutical supplements.
- Excipient Selection: Select suitable excipients, preservatives, flavors, and stabilizers that are safe for animals.
- Production Supervision: Lead small-scale batch preparation (mixing, filtration, filling, capping, labeling) for pet health supplements.
- Cleaning SOPs: Maintain hygiene and cleaning SOPs for pet product manufacturing.
- QC Testing: Conduct basic QC tests (pH, clarity, taste/palatability, viscosity, appearance) specific to dogs and cats supplements.
- Raw Material Approval: Approve/reject incoming raw materials (vitamins, minerals, herbal extracts for pets).
- Quality Control: Maintain stability samples and quality records.
- Batch Manufacturing Records: Prepare and maintain Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs).
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with FSSAI/nutraceutical and veterinary supplement guidelines.
