Scalable Data Processing Expert

The role involves leading the design, deployment, and management of high-performance Apache Kafka clusters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and configure large-scale Kafka clusters on-premises and in the cloud using Confluent and AWS MSK.
  • Perform upgrades, patches, and disaster recovery planning to ensure security, availability, scalability, and fault tolerance of Kafka clusters.
  • Monitor performance, collect metrics, and optimize configurations for maximum efficiency.
  • Automate Kafka cluster installations, topic/ACL/connector deployments, and other repetitive tasks using Ansible, Terraform, and GitOps.
  • Collaborate closely with developers to provide expert guidance on Kafka usage and best practices.
Required Skills:
  • Experience with messaging systems like IBM MQ or RabbitMQ
  • Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, and ServiceNow
