Migration Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Migration Specialist to lead our technical assessment and implementation of Microsoft solutions. This role involves direct or indirect communication with clients, making it crucial for assessing and evaluating the delivery of Microsoft services.

The successful candidate will develop a detailed migration strategy, including risk mitigation, pilot testing, and phased rollouts. They will provide architectural guidance to ensure secure and seamless migration of Power Platform solutions and related services.

The Migration Specialist will work closely with teams to maintain quality and efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, they will play a significant role in transitions and transformations of new accounts, providing technical guidance and support to other analysts as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse, plan, and execute migrations of Power Platform components (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) from multiple source M365 tenants to a central target tenant.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to map dependencies between Power Platform solutions and SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and other M365 services.
  • Use migration tools and custom scripts to migrate Power Platform solutions, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in IT with strong understanding of the Power Platform, including Power Apps (both Canvas and Model-driven), Power Automate, and Power BI.
  • Proficient in Programming Languages: C#, JavaScript, PowerShell, REST API
  • Hands-on experience with SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and other M365 services is essential.
  • Familiarity with Azure services like Logic Apps, Azure Functions, and API Management for Power Platform integrations is also required.
Preferred Skills:
  • Microsoft Power Platform certifications (e.g., PL-400, PL-600).
  • Microsoft 365 certifications (e.g., MS-100, MS-101).
  • Experience with large-scale M365 tenant migrations and Power Platform optimization.
